Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands was released back in March of 2017. Hailed as an epic tactical shooter, Wildlands opened on Windows, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The first Tom Clancy game to feature an open world, Wildlands placed a huge emphasis on co-op and multiplayer. Even the trailed showed a group of friends actively communicating to complete the objective. With that, fans and gamers asked and still ask if Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands supports cross-platform play.
Sadly, as of October 2019 and for the foreseeable future, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands will not feature any sort of cross-platform play. This means that if you want to play with your friends you will all have to play on the same platform. This is a common theme in a lot of big industry titles that many hope to see abandoned. A lot of gamers see cross-platform play as a huge benefit and incentive to pick a game up. Maybe other developers will see the benefits to it like the developers of FortNite, Epic Games, did when they started supporting cross-platform play.
Here is a quote from one of the developers of Wildlands that was posted to a Steam forum asking this very question.
We understand that you would like to play with friends using other platforms. However, at this time, there is no cross-platform support for this specific game.

As you can see, Ubisoft is not going to add any cross-platform support for Wildlands. We hope to see that change in the sequel, Breakpoint.
