Moving Out is a brand new co-op game set to release on April 28th, 2020. Published by Team17 Digital that has brought us other great hits like Overcooked! and The Survivalists, we have high hopes for Moving Out. It looks like one of those fun party games that you can play with your friends on your couch for hours and never stop laughing. With wonky physics and controls, it’s sure to keep you entertained non-stop. A lot of players interested in the game are wondering if there is some sort of online multiplayer instead of the local co-op and if there is cross-platform support for Moving Out. Here’s everything we know so far.

Does Moving Out Have Online Multiplayer?

Moving Out is primarily focused on local co-op. It’s meant to be played next to your buddies or whoever on the couch. With that being said, it does have some multiplayer capabilities.

If you’re on PC playing Moving Out on Steam, you can use the Remote Play feature to connect you and up to three of your friends. There is even a demo out that you can play to test out the game with your friends before you purchase it! Get it here!

Sadly, if you’re playing on any of the other platforms there is no online multiplayer option for Moving Out. The FAQ released by the publishers doesn’t include any sort of hint to releasing it later on or even confirm or deny it’s a possibility in a future update. We hope they eventually do release it in an update because this game is a lot of fun to play and people can’t always get together on the couch (especially during a global pandemic…).

Is Moving Out Cross-platform?

Since there is no online multiplayer for Moving Out then the answer to this question should be pretty obvious. Unfortunately, there is no cross-platform capability for this game. Maybe if they add online multiplayer for platforms they will consider adding cross-platform capabilities so that friends on different consoles can virtually get together. Until then, we will all just have to meet up in person like the good old days to play some video games, after the pandemic is over of course!

If we find anything else out we’ll be sure to update this so check back if you’re still wondering in a month or two!
