Stranded Deep is a survival game that keeps on getting bigger and better. The developers aren’t done adding new free content to it, and there are still new players coming across it every day. In this guide, we’re going to cover one of the most basic aspects of this game. The Water Still in Stranded Deep. We’ll go over how to build it, and how you can use it in the best way in your game.

The first thing you need to know is that this item is a matter of life and death. Without it, you’re going to have a very short playthrough and die pretty quickly. It requires quite a fee hard-to-get resources, but it’s not that hard to grab it. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it here. (https://chacc.co.uk)

The items you need to build a Water Still are as follows.

  • A single Piece of Tarp
  • 1 Coconut Flask
  • 1 Lashing
  • 3 Rocks
  • 1 Palm Frond

You can find Rocks scattered everywhere in this game. They’re all over the starting island. You’ll probably already have them in your inventory, so don’t worry too much about getting hold of them.

As for Lashings, they’re crafted from Fibrous Leaves. You’ll be able to find these on the starting island too. Just head over to any tree or plant and start gathering or hacking away. You’ll soon have what you need to craft a Lashing.

Palm Fronds are specific to Palm Trees. You’ll need an axe in order to cut these down, and it’s going to be an impossible task without one. It’s also not just a case of chopping the entire tree down. You need to chop the big bunch of palm at the centre of the tree’s top. That’s what will award you the Palm Fronds.

Now to the Coconut Flask. This is made out of a single Coconut and a Lashing. Therefore, you’re going to need to get another Lashing if you also need one for the Water Still as well. Coconuts are almost as common as Rocks. Search around enough and you’ll find one.

Finally there’s the Tarp. This washes up on the shores of islands, so keep an eye out and walk along the shoreline until you find a piece.

Now all you need to do is open the menu and build the Water Still. You can do this from the Building Tab. You’ll have to scroll down until you find the right recipe of course.

The Water Still can be set up anywhere and it will gather water from the rain. You can add additional Palm Fronds to build up the fiber and capture more water with every rainfall. To drink, simply select the item and drink right out of it. You could also use a Coconut Shell to drink a little longer out of the water if you wanted to.

That’s all there is to know about the Water Still in Stranded Deep. If there’s something that you think we missed, please do let us know about it in the comments.
