Bloodpoints matter in all circumstances, which is why it’s so important that you get as many as you can.

What are Bloodpoints?

Bloodpoints are the currency used in the Bloodweb. This is a section of your survivor or killer menu that allows you to buy upgrades.

As you increase the level of your Bloodweb, you’ll gain access to better and better items, but you’ll also find ones that give you detrimental perks.

It’s important to keep upgrading the Bloodweb though. It opens up so many more possibilities for playing Dead by Daylight.

With the add-ons provided, you could be the difference between four survivors winning a match, or no one making it out alive.

How do You Earn Bloodpoints?

Earning Bloodpoints is really easy, you just need to play Dead by Daylight. Various activities in a match will award Bloodpoints.

For example, Killers can get them for chasing survivors, or landing successful hits.

Hooking a survivor, and successfully sacrificing them, will also earn big Bloodpoint rewards.

Survivors can earn Bloodpoints by repairing generators. They can also get them for evading a killer, or saving another survivor from the hook.

Each action awards a different number of Bloodpoints. The number of them that you get is also affected by perks and add-ons that everyone has in a match, including those on the opposite side.

How do You Earn Even More Bloodpoints?

Increasing the number of Bloodpoints that you earn can be done by attaching the right perks or add-ons.

Some have benefits that will provide more Bloodpoints for certain actions. Be wary though, because you could be equipping a perk that has a far greater downside than the positive of increased Bloodpoints.

To ensure that your build is as optimal as possible, read the description of every perk and add-on carefully.

Once you have the best build you can make at the time, you need to do the actions that will earn you an increased rate of Bloodpoints.

For example, if a killer add-on awards more Bloodpoints for hooking survivors, but not sacrificing, you need to change tactics. Instead of hooking a survivor, and hanging around to make sure they get sacrificed, it would be more efficient to run off and find more survivors to hook. You could even lie in wait for a survivor to save the one you’ve just hooked, and hook them too.

As a survivor, if you earn more Bloodpoints for escaping a killer, then you need to get into more chases. This could result in you being caught and hooked.

However, there’s always a good chance you’ll escape, and then you could be earning bonus points from a chase.

There are loads of little ways to optimise the number of Bloodpoints that you earn in Dead by Daylight. The key really is paying attention to the perks and add-ons you have.

If you don’t have any at all, then do what survivors and killers must. As a survivor, repair generators, help other survivors, and escape. As a killer, capture survivors, hook them, and sacrifice them.

One Last Thing

Finally, there are Daily Rituals that you can take on in order to earn additional Bloodpoints.

These Rituals force you to play the game in certain ways, which you may not be used to, but they’re worth it for those Bloodpoints.
