Beating Almudron In Monster Hunter Rise
Almudron uses attacks that have a knockback effect which is why we recommend using weapons that negate this effect such as Dual Blades, Switch Axes, and Hunting Horn’s. We also recommend using the Muck Resistance skill, which will give you an advantage when moving around in the mud. The weak points of the monster are its head and tail. These are the areas that you should target in order to deal the most damage.
After Almudron’s mud ball tail attack, it is going to stay in place for a few seconds. This is the window that you can use in order to deal damage to the boss. You can use Flash Bombs to stop this attack. Furthermore, you will receive damage while standing inside the Golden Mud Piles but you can easily step out. Additionally, the monster can dig underground and attack you once it is close enough. You can dodge out of the way in order to avoid taking damage.
The monster can block your attacks by summoning mud pillars. It can also use its tail sweep attack to inflict damage and throw you back. You will see this coming as the monster swings its tail side to side.
The monster is weak against cut and blunt type damage. So prepare accordingly. When it comes to ailments, the monster is weak against Fireblight and most resistant towards Blast, which does nothing at all.
