Far Cry 6 does have a multiplayer co-op feature but there are some limitations. If you are new to the game then there are certain things that you need to know about. In this Far Cry 6 guide, we are going to go over how you play the game in co-op and go over things that you need to know.

Far Cry 6 Multiplayer Co-Op

In order to unlock multiplayer co-op in Far Cry 6, you need to complete the first 4 missions. You will get a notification that the multiplayer feature is now unlocked. Do note that there is no crossplay, so your friend needs to be on the same platform as you. 2 people on the same platform can play together.

The story progression is only going to be saved for the host. The other player will still keep items and XP earned. Co-op is not limited to your friend list. You can select co-op from the top right corner and then select a friend or find someone randomly. Just be sure that you have completed Operation 4: Du Or Die.

Far Cry 6 Multiplayer

Once you are in the game with someone, the two of you will need to stay close to one another. Once you are 269 meters away, you will get a warning to stay close to your buddy. You will start getting damage once you are 280 meters away.

Loot is shared between both players. So if either one of you opens up a crate or chest then both players are going to get loot. If you have got the locations for things like Roosters or USBs then the other player in your team will see these locations as well.
