There are plenty of different ways in which you can win in Age Of Empires 4 but there are a couple of things that you need to know about each victory. In this Age Of Empires 4 guide, we are going to go over the different victory conditions and how you can achieve them.
Age Of Empires 4 Victory Conditions
The following are the different victory conditions in Age Of Empires 4 and what you need to do in order to meet the conditions:
Domination Victory
You can win by attacking the enemy and then destroying all the enemy landmarks. As the enemy progressed through the ages, it is going to make more landmarks. So if you attack in the end-game, then you will need to destroy more buildings as compared to early on in the game. If you are looking to play aggressively then you can raid the enemy in order to try and get a victory early on. Even if you cannot destroy the landmarks, then you will hinder the enemy’s progress and give you the upper hand.
Wonder Victory
Getting a wonder victory is only possible until later on in the game. You cannot make a wonder until you progress to age 4. In order to make a wonder, you are going to need 3000 of each resource. Once you have the resources, you can start building the wonder. You can increase the number of workers building the wonder in order to make it faster.
Once you start making the wonder, the enemy is going to try and keep you from making it. Once the wonder is completed a timer is going to show up on the screen and everyone is going to be notified that the wonder has been completed. At this point, the enemy is going to try and actively attack you in order to destroy the wonder and keep you from winning the game. You will need to defend the wonder until the timer hits 0 and you will win.
Sacred Site Victory
The third victory condition is winning by controlling all the sacred sites on the map. The number of sacred sites on the map depends on the size of the map. The larger the size of the map the higher the number of sacred sites. In order to capture the site, you need a religious unit. You need to move your religious unit to the sacred site and convert it in order to control it. This does not happen instantly and takes a while.
Note that the enemy is going to try and take control of the sacred site to keep you from winning. You need to control all of the sacred sites on the map in order to win. Once you control all of them a timer will be displayed on the screen and you will have to defend the sites until the timer hits 0.
