Now that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is here, we’re all very excited about the game’s upcoming seasons. These are a slew of free content updates that are going to completely change up how the game looks and feels. Each one will bring so much more new stuff with it, and it’s so much better than other games because it’s free. In this guide we’re going to cover the contents of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Let’s kick things off with the trailer for the season.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War stars on December 16, 2020. The season will be packed with a new tier system of content to earn by playing the game. Both in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, it’ll be possible to earn progress towards the season.
The reward on offer will all be purely cosmetic, so there’s no gameplay advantage to unlocking everything. If however, you love playing Call of Duty, it’s a great excuse and overall reason to keep on playing as much as you possibly can.
From the trailer we’ve seen so far, we know that we’re almost certainly heading back to the map called “Rebirth Island”. On the weekend of the season’s launch, we’ll have a double XP opportunity. This will make it very easy to push up your rank in the Battle Pass.
New Modes
There will be new game modes in this season. Included is going to be a returning 6v6 mode that fans love. There will also be a 2v2 mode called Gunfight, which players loved in Modern Warfare. The classic Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map known as ‘Raid’ is also making a comeback, which is great for fans of the seires.
Zombies
Free-to-earn weapons are coming to the game, and they’re all part of Zombies mode. If you pick up the game then you can expect a brand new mode to battle through in Zombies, as well as Seasonal Challenges that are going to make playing the game on a daily basis essential.
If you think hitting Prestige is hard now, wait until this season is out. There are 1000 levels to get though, and only then can you Prestige. This is what only the most dedicated players manage to do, so if that’s you, there’s a lot for you to do in the coming month.
Bundles
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is launching with a couple of bundles for players to purchase. These net you things like Epic Skins, Calling Cards, and similar items. Once again, they are not essential to your game. If you don’t buy them, you’ll have just as much of an advantage as any other player does. You may not look as good though.
