What is Marvelous Merchandise?
The Marvelous Merchandise event is just the latest event in Genshin Impact. It tasks players with collecting certain materials each and every day for the whole week. You then need to take these materials and bring them back, exchanging them for a Box O’Marvels.
The Box O’Marvels might not sound like much, but trust me it’s worth it. You get ores, Primogems, and Mora, and all you need to do is turn in ten of some random resource from the world.
How to Start Marvelous Merchandise
Starting the event is incredibly simple. When you next sing into the game, you should see a new message from the developers. This will inform you that a new merchant from Liyue has been cruising around the area. They’ve got some great rewards to offer, and are looking for some partners to share in that loot.
Reading the message is your starting point for the event. There’s no need to go and complete a certain quest, you’ve already begun. Now you just need to head to Mondstadt and meet this new merchant.
Liben
The new merchant is called Liben, and you’ll find them inside of Mondstadt’s main city. He’s hanging out in the northeastern part of the city. Head to Flora’s flower shop on the right as you come into the city. You should be able to see Liben from here. Go over and meet him.
Liben will be the one who tells you what you need to gather over the next seven days in order to make the most of his rewards. You can find out what’s required from his menu, which you access just by talking to him.
There’s really no questioning if this is a good event or not, it’s a great excuse to jump back into the game for any lapsed players, and a fantastic way to progress further for those still in the early stages. There really are no downsides to taking part.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play game, so you’d expect to have to pay for some content at least. Here’s the thing though, everything you need is on offer for free. With an event like Marvelous Merchandise, there’s even less reason to pump money into the game. For the next week you can pick up some very good gifts for doing very little, providing you with a way to progress that doesn’t require money or hundreds of hours of grinding.
