The Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Behemoth is easily the toughest enemy that you’ll come up against in the game. They’re the deadliest drones, able to shoot at you with miniguns, and batter you with artillery fire until you either give up, or die.

In this guide we’re going to help you understand these drones a lot more. We’ll cover the best tactics for taking them down, avoiding them, and even locating them, if you’re that crazy.

Behemoth’s are really obvious. They’re massive, and you’ll get an on-screen warning when you enter an area of the map where one is lurking around. you can also gather intelligence throughout the game that will lead you to their locations.

Once you know the location of a Behemoth, it’ll appear on the map. You can then head straight towards one when you want to take on a more challenging fight. The best thing about the Behemoth is the loot it guards, which is always good, and that’s the only reason you’d take one on.

The first thing to know about the Behemoth is where the weak spot is. When you’re attacking one head on, it’s the blue lights at the front that you want to aim for. Ideally, you’d aim here with projectile weapons, this will do the most amount of damage, and take the Behemoth down quickly. If however you only have a gun, get ready for a slightly longer, and more tension-filled, firefight.

The absolute best weapon to take a Behemoth down with is a rocket launcher. Any sort of explosive will be effective against these drones, but the rocket launcher is the best. If you’ve got some mines and grenades, those will definitely help, but being abel to direct your explosive will cause more damage in the area you want it.

When fighting a Behemoth, you’re going to want some cover. Whether you’re on your own, with AI teammates, or with other real players, these drones are going to mess you up fast if you’re out in the open.

Unfortunately they’re often out in the open themselves. One tactic you could use is driving up to them in a vehicle. If you get their attention, then drive to a nearby building or woodland area, you could use the surrounding cover to help you in the ensuing fight.

The most important thing to remember is that the Behemoth drones will hit you with artillery from above. This will destroy you if you’re outdoors and have nowhere to run to. If however, you have cover over your head thanks to a building, or being in the woodland, then there’s a good chance that you’ll avoid all artillery fire.

Being able to get something in-between you and the Behemoth will also really help. these drones can rip you to shreds with minigun fire, and cover is just a basic need in firefights with them. If nothing else, look for a rock that you can move around to avoid the gunfire, because it could be the difference between life and death.
