Hitman 3 has a huge number of challenges to complete. Some of them are pretty obvious, while others are downright obscure. In this Hitman 3 Flying Monkey Business guide, we’ll be covering one of those obscure ones. It’s extremely unclear how you do this, which is why almost every player will be looking up a solution. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered though. Once you’ve read out guide, you’ll know exactly what to do.

This challenge is for the Dubai location, the very first one in Hitman 3. You don’t need Hitman 2016 or Hitman 2 to do this. It’s also something that you could use to complete your first every mission in the game, since it’ll see you kill the targets. It’s up to you as to whether you do that. We’d recommend playing the game a little to familiarize yourself with the layout first. That way, you’ll know where to go when it comes to each part of this challenge.

Step 1 – Keycard

To complete the Hitman 3 Flying Monkey Business challenge, you’ll need to start out by picking up one of the Evacuation Keycards in the mission. This is pretty easy if you know the layout. They’re each in a security safe in the security rooms on level 3 and level 2 of the map. You can identify these by picking up the map early in the mission, and then analyzing it in-game when you have a moment. Look for the areas marked as security rooms. These are where the Keycards will be.

You need to get into a couple of safes to actually acquire the Keycards, so make sure you use the following code: 6927. It’s the same for both, so don’t worry about which one you head to. One thing to remember that’s actually crucial is to pick up a banana. There’s one in both security rooms, or there’s one in the staff room on level 0. Make sure you have one, otherwise this challenge is impossible.

Step 2 – Penthouse

Now you need to get up to the penthouse. This is pretty easy, especially if you head to the security room on level 3. The guards up here all have a penthouse Keycard, so you’ll pick one up as soon as you take them out. The only thing to watch out for is being spotted by other guards or cameras. Be vigilant and you should be able to avoid getting spotted. You access the Penthouse through the door on the same hallway as the level 3 security room. Use the map to work out your route if you need to though.

Once you’re in the penthouse, get a knife from the kitchen, and make your way to the study. This is a room within the penthouse itself, so you’ll be able to track it down pretty quickly. When you find it, you need to find the two red boxes on the wall. These are parachutes, and they’re quite obvious.

Step 3 – Sabotage

Now comes the tricky part. There are guards who patrol this area, and they’ll notice you doing anything if you try it in front of them. Wait for them to walk away before you do anything. When they’re gone, open both of the red boxes and sabotage them. You’ll be able to do this if you have a knife, so make sure you’ve acquired one before this point. Now, place a banana on the floor in front of one of the boxes. You need one of the targets to slip over on them, so just make sure that it’s where someone would slip over if they were trying to interact with the red box.

Step 4 – Execution

Finally, we have the execution of the plan. With one of the aforementioned Keycards in hand, you need to find one of the Evacuation Keycard Readers in the penthouse. They’re dotted everywhere, so it’s not going to take much to find one. There’s actually one right next to the red boxes, so you won’t have to look for that long.

At this point, bot targets will run to the helipad. They’re trying to evacuate, but the pilot wasn’t expecting them. He’s also lost his key, so they’re going nowhere on that thing. Instead, the pilot will tell them to evacuate using parachutes, and they’ll run inside and up to the penthouse to try to do just that.

At this point, one of the targets will run up to the red boxes, slip over on the banana, and pass out. The other will probably just start to put their parachute on. However, at some point, someone will notice the target on the floor, and likely wake them up. Don’t worry. This all counts as an accident, so you won’t lose a Silent Assassin rating or be seen because of your actions.

Finally, the targets will run to the outdoor section and jump off. This unlocks the Geronimo challenge. If you sabotaged both parachutes, which you should have, then you’ll also unlock the Mile High Drop challenge. This is a good few challenges in one go if you haven’t done any of this before. The Flying Monkey Business one is definitely one of the more obscure in Hitman 3, but well worth going for.

Tips

We want to offer some advice for this one just in case you’re not that confident with the game. As we said, play the mission through a few times first to familiarize yourself with the location if you want. There are user-generated Contracts and Escalations to go through as well if you want. These will help you explore new areas that you won’t have before.

It’s important to know where you’re going in the penthouse in particular too. This area can feel daunting because it’s packed with enemies who will notice you. However, if you play your cards right and ensure that you’re working as hard as possible to go through all areas unseen, then you will. If you really need to, put on a disguise that won’t matter, a security guard for example, because no one will question your presence at that point.
