Bam is a jock deer Villager in Animal Crossing New Horizons, and boy does he have an attitude on him. There’s a fair bit to unpack with this Villager, including the character that inspires his name. He’s far from your average Villager, making him almost essential for hardcore fans of the franchise. Who is Bam?
As we’ve mentioned, Bam is a jock deer Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You might not be surprised to know that his name is in fact inspired by a Disney character. That’s right. It’s the deer, Bambi. He’s named after a young deer who eventually grows up to become quite a beefcake. There’s really no better take on that character in a game, other than the actual Babi video games. You can’t really miss Bam. He’s bright blue and has a lot of sports wear. Look out for that, and you’ll see this guy we’re sure.
Birthday
Bam’s birthday is November 7. On this date, he’ll be hanging out at home waiting for other Villagers to come over and celebrate with him. He should have a few other guests over at the same time, but given how rude he is, we wouldn’t be surprised if no one comes. With all Villager birthdays though, at least a few Villagers pop over to celebrate. You can pop over too if you want and celebrate his birthday with him. There are a couple of advantages to doing this.
First, you’ll get to play a game with him that involves hitting stuff. You can also pick up some cake because, well, it’s a birthday. The cake is incredibly useful in the game when it comes to building stuff, so make sure you save it for when you really need to do some work on your island. Finally, if you head over on Bam’s birthday, it’ll build up your relationship with him. This can be key to a lot of things, so it’s worth pursuing. You can also give him a gift on this date. Should you, it’ll boost your relationship even more, and he may even give you a gift a day or so later. Who doesn’t like a gift?
Bam’s Personality
Now we come to the big problem in this Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bam Villager Guide. His personality. As we’ve mentioned a few times now, he’s got the jock personality, and that’s not the greatest personality in any Animal Crossing game. As a jock, he’s going to be incredibly invested in sports. Almost to a point where it’s annoying. Honestly, we think it’s beyond annoying. However, he will keep mostly to himself while working out, so that’s okay. That’s because jock Villagers are quite self-centered and love talking or thinking about themselves. Don’t expect to be anywhere close to the talking point when it comes to this guy.
As a jock, Bam is going to constantly challenge you to active challenges. It’s exhausting to be honest. However, you can accept the invitations for a challenge and then just let him get on with whatever he’s planning to do. You don’t have to have any input. He might question it, but you can just ignore him.
As a jock Villager, Bam will get on well with other jock Villagers, sister, peppy, and cranky Villagers. However, he’ll conflict with lazy Villagers. This is because he doesn’t understand the way they live. They like to relax and chill out all the time, and he doesn’t have any space in his head for that. Snooty Villagers will also be quite difficult for Bam to get on with, but there’s nothing you can do about that. Everyone hates snooty Villagers.
Bam’s Apearance
Bam is a blue deer Villager and stands out from every crowd. He’s got some pretty big horns and two shades of yellow inside his ears. He’s also got white around his eyes which makes him quite distinctive. We’ll admit that he’s never going to get lost, and you’ll always be able to find him. His antlers are also slightly different to normal deers in Animal Crossing, so he may be a very specific type of deer. He’s got a sports jacket on at all times which seems to suggest that he’s some sort of sports teacher. Don’t worry. He isn’t.
Bam’s House
Bam’s house is actually quite interesting. The exterior is a blue wooden building that’s pretty nice. You could place it in a dark corner and lose it in amongst some trees. It’s good for those players who want to have a lot of houses on their islands that vary in color. If that sounds like you, then you need to head out and pick Bam up for your place.
The interior of Bam’s house is insane. It’s got every bit of sports equipment you can imagine. There’s a boxing ring, a table tennis table, a steel basin, a whiteboard with sports plans on, and even a desk that makes him look like a sports teacher. (Valium) It’s like walking into the sports teacher’s head office. There’s even a locker in the corner. We couldn’t tell you how he sleeps, but we know it’s not well.
Facts About Bam
There are only two interesting facts about Bam. The first is that he looks a bit like another Villager called Vic. That’s all really though, we’re not sure how it links them. It is interesting to know that he’s not totally unique though. Second, he’s the only jock Villager in Animal Crossing history. In a series with so many deer Villagers, and so many games, and so many Villagers, it’s hard to believe this. However, if you look at the data, you can see that it’s true. He’s alone in being a jock deer, and we’d like to keep it that way.
