In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Old Wounds quest guide, we’re going to cover everything there is to know about this quest, and how to complete it. You’ll unlock Old Wounds once you’ve completed An Uncommon Proposition. This is part of the major questline called A Breviary of Broken Hearts. (Modafinil) Old Wounds is just one of the two quests you’ll pick up.
Step 1 – Head to Essexe
The first thing you need to do is get to the quest’s start. This is in a location called Essexe, which is southwest of Colcestre. Once there, you can follow the objective market and chat to Estrid to start the quest properly.
Step 2 – Find Rollo
Talking with Estrid will take you through a series of dialogue options. There’s a lot to this, so pay attention as you go through. You don’t want to miss any of the world-building this game has to offer.
Eventually, Estrid will get to the point that you need to find a guard named Rollo. He’s suspected of being in a nearby brothel. Once you’re inside that brothel, there will be a cutscene.
After the cutscene has played out, you need to protect Rollo from the guards that are now attacking. This should be easy, since there are only five guards that you’ll actually have to contend with.
With that done, speak to Rollo, and move onto the next step.
Step 3 – Traitors
Once you’ve spoken to Rollo, he’ll ask you to go and meet him in a new location. This will appear on your map. This is actually Rollo’s own camp, and he’s got a task for you all of his own.
Rollo says that there might be a traitor in his numbers. He wants you to figure out who the traitor is. To do this, you’ll have to speak with the two people who have been accused of being a traitor. You’ll then need to scan the camp for clues in Odin’s Sight, which will reveal everything you need to see.
If you need more guidance, head to the rack of meat, and the red flowers. These are the two major clue locations that you need to analyse.
Now you’ll be forced to choose which one of these people is a traitor. The consequences will forever sit on your shoulders.
Step 4 – Rescue
Having made your choice, you now need to go with Rollow to rescue his Danes. This is a location roughly 450 meters southeast of Rollo’s camp.
The location you head to has a gap in the fence on the left. Use this to enter the area. You should be able to sneak around and take everyone down. If you’re looking for a fight though, just run in through the front door and kill everyone.
As you take the place down, you can unlock the cages of Danes. These guys are fierce, and they’ll fight by your side as you battle with the guards who are nearby.
Step 5 – Conclusion
