Who is Katt?
As we’ve mentioned, Katt is a sisterly cat Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, so she’s still relatively new to the series. New Leaf was only the game before New Horizons, so there’s really been no time at all. In Swedish and Norwegian, Katt’s name means Cat, which isn’t really that surprising. Her initial catchphrase is a reference to the word pretty, which doesn’t seem like it relates to her, but we’ll go with it. She’s also the only sisterly cat Villager in the game, which is a surprising fact given that there are over 400 Villagers in the game now.
Birthday
Katt’s birthday is April 27, and you need to remember that date. She’ll be hanging out in her house on the day, just like every Villager does on their birthdays. You should take note of this because the Villagers will be celebrating their birthdays with all the other Villagers on the island on these dates. Make sure you’re aware, and you’ll benefit in so many ways. On the day, you can take part in some celebrations and even play games with the Villagers. This will see you take part in some games and smash some stuff with a bat, which is a lot of fun after the mundanity of working on your island.
The other benefit to attending a birthday is that you’ll get some cake out of it. This is an incredibly powerful item for helping you get through your island-building later in the game. It makes you stronger and more able to push through the hard tasks when you really can’t be bothered. The final buff of heading over to see Katt on her birthday is the boost to your relationship you’ll get. This means that you’ll be closer to maximum relationship in pretty much no time. Katt’s Personality

This personality is pretty great because Katt will instantly like you. She’ll come over and start telling you how to defend yourself, but also how to relax. There’s also a good chance that she’ll offer to beat some other Villagers up for you. Katt is tough and fiercely passionate about her hobby. She will also care a lot about her appearance though. This is something all sisterly Villagers do, and it seems to be a part of their insecurities. However, she’s really easy to get on with. In fact, it’s easier to develop a relationship with her than it is with other personality types. This is a fact of all sisterly Villagers, so have more of them on your island if you want to have strong connections with everyone.
Katt will get on well with jock and lazy Villagers because of their love of relaxing and generally being active and strong. She’ll also like peppy Villagers, even if they are a bit much from time to time. However, she won’t get on well with snooty and cranky Villagers, and even normal Villagers will rub her the wrong way. Katt’s Appearance
Katt is a very unique looking Villager. It’s a hard fact to escape. She’s got brown fur, bright yellow eyes, pointy ears, and some lighter brown stripes all over her. She looks like a classic ginger tomcat, but one with more attitude. This is most present in the leather jacket that she wears everywhere. She just doesn’t look like someone you’d want to mess with. Still, she’s pretty cool, and it’s nice to have someone who looks out of place on your island because they’re so much more individual.
Katt’s House
The exterior of Katt’s house is pretty normal. It’s a wooden cabin that’s the same color as she is, which works nicely. The door is red, and the house is unseeming. You could hide it in some trees and no one would bat an eyelid. This is the sort of house you want if you’re going for an eco-friendly vibe on your island.
The interior of Katt’s house is a little strange. It’s like a soundproofed room where a band records their music. The walls are soundproofed, as is the floor. There’s no other way to look at it. She’s got a lot of musical instruments around the room as well as some furniture that’s scattered here and there. More than anything, it looks like a crash pad. That’s probably because she’s up out all night not spending the right amount of time sleeping.
Facts About Katt
Unfortunately, there’s very little extra to know about Katt. The most interesting fact is that she’s the only sisterly cat Villager in the game, which is something we’ve already covered. It is interesting that there’s so little to know about her. It makes us wonder if there’s more that she’s just not telling us. Given how out of place she looks compared to all the other Villagers, we think that the developers are holding back some character development for future updates and games.
