Reneigh is a sisterly horse Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She’s quite an interesting Villager because of her history with the series, she’s not a Villager that hardcore fans will remember from the very early games. She’s also one of the few sisterly Villagers in the game, a personality that can be very hard to get on with. Who is Reneigh?
As we’ve mentioned, Reneigh is a sisterly horse Villager. She was first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and later added retrospectively to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. This makes her brand new to the series, something that not many VIllagers can claim. It’s nice in a way though, because you can use her as a lens through which to see how the developers have changed how they create new Villagers. It’s also lovely that she’s in the mobile game for all to claim.
Her name is a massive reference to the neigh of a horse, but it’s been bastardized somewhat to make it look like a name. However, in Japan, it looks like she was named after Barbadian pop star Rihanna, because her name uses the exact same characters. This could be a coincidence, but it’s unlikely that’s the case.
Birthday
Reneigh’s birthday is on June 4. On this date, she’ll be hanging out in her house and celebrating with whoever comes over. Some Villagers will always come to visit her. If you want to, you can join in with these celebrations as well. All you have to do is walk over to her house and go inside. Should you do this, you’ll be able to partake in a game with her, celebrate her birthday, and even eat some cake. The cake can be saved, which it should be, for when you have a lot of island work to do. It boosts your character and makes them much more powerful than normal.
There’s one other thing to do on Reneigh’s birthday, give her a gift. If you do this, you’ll get a huge boost to your relationship with her. This is great if you’re trying to boost that relationship and have been struggling. You’ll also probably get a gift from Reneigh if you do this. It might come a few days later, but eventually, she’ll give you something, and that’s what’s important.
Reneigh’s Personality
As we’ have mentioned a couple of times now, Reneigh has the sisterly personality type. This is a rare personality type, and it’s one we don’t like that much. Of all the things in this Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reneigh Villager Guide, this is the one point that brings Reneigh down. When you make friends with Reneigh at first, she’ll start to give you tips on fighting. This is to indicate that she’s had to fight with her siblings. She actually finds fighting quite relaxing.
If you’re stung by a bee, Reneigh is one of the few Villagers who will give you medicine. Most other Villagers will just tell you to go and get some medicine instead of helping you. They’re very unkind like that. While Reneigh is tough, she’s going to care a lot about her appearance and the outward opinion of her from other Villagers. She has a tendency to stay up late at night, which might be linked to her worrying about this so much. Really though, she’s probably just a night owl and loves waking up late and staying up just as late.
Sisterly Villagers have a caring nature, and they’re very easy to get on with as a result. This is why you’ll find it easy to develop a relationship with her and soon have a strong bond. She’ll get close to you fast, and actually offer to fight anyone who has annoyed or upset you. Once again, this is all to do with her having siblings. She’ll get on with jock Villagers because they both love sports, lazy Villagers, and even peppy Villagers. However, she’ll conflict with cranky and snooty Villagers. She also might have trouble getting on with normal Villagers, even though they’re the loveliest Villagers in the game.
Reneigh’s Appearance
Reneigh looks like a dark brown horse. She’s very easy to pick out from a crowd, even if that’s a crowd of horses. She wears a dress and has a light pink mane, something that’s very distinctive and easy to spot. She’s got light blue hands and feet and even wears eyeliner. She looks like she’s ready to go out on the town, even though the most active place she’ll be going is your Village square. You may also note her light pink tail, which usually sticks out from whatever she’s wearing.
Reneigh’s House
The exterior of Reneigh’s house looks regal yet understated. It’s off-white and looks pretty standard. That’s all we can say about it. If you’re after houses that all look the same, this one will fit in with the other standard house designs in the game. There’s simply nothing of note about it. The interior is also pretty bland. The walls are wood and the flooring is covered in pink flowers on a brown background. She’s got a lot of wicker furniture and barely anything else. It’s very minimalist, which might be what you’re expecting from her.
Facts About Reneigh
Interestingly, Reneigh is the first horse Villager to have a sisterly personality type. This is a record in Animal Crossing history, but she’s still very underrated. She’s also one of the few Villagers to be added to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp as part of the New Horizons update. This was a small update, but being part of it is still special and of note. Other than this, there’s nothing else interesting to know about Reeneigh, she’s actually quite dull. As far as horse Villagers go, you’d expect her to be a lot more interesting, but there are just no more facts about her.
