When you think about this, she’s actually only been in two games. New Leaf was the last Animal Crossing game on Nintendo 3DS, and New Horizons is the game after that. This makes Skye a relatively new Villager compared to the 400 other Villagers in the game.
It’s said that Skye’s name comes from the fact that she has been crafted to look like the clear blue sky. This is backed up by the fact that her initial phrase mentions mail being sent by aircraft, something that not every Villager is going to talk about. Her Japanese name is Lily, which is almost certainly a direct reference to the flower of the same name. Interestingly, Lily’s are often white in appearance, but this comes into play in the white highlights on Skye.
Birthday
Skye’s birthday is on March 24. On this date, you’ll find her hanging out in her home. This is where she’ll be waiting to celebrate with all of the Villagers on the island. She’ll invite Villagers, and you, over to play games and have a great time together. If you attend her house on the day, you’ll get yourself a piece of cake. As you may have been able to work out by now, Skye is a wolf Villager who has sky blue fur. There are white highlights underneath that blue fur, but she’s mostly covered in the blue. She actually also has a white lily flower shape in white on her head, a reference to her Japanese name for sure. She wears what looks like quite a thick white woolly jumper with blue highlights in the shape of a snowflake on. It’s not appropriate for every season, but it’s what she likes to wear. Overall, it’s thought that her white highlights represent the clouds in the sky, and that’s why she’s called Skye and made to look the way she does.
Skye’s House
The exterior of Skye’s house is pretty normal, but it has a personal twist on it. It looks very much like the standard houses in the game, but it’s also got the blue and white color scheme written all over it. This is important, because it shows that Skye is much more than you’d initially expect. She’s taken the extra steps to actually personalize her house, and it shows. You’ll always be able to see it, but it’s not so offensive that it overtakes the surrounding area.
The interior is covered in blue wallpaper with hearts all over it. This is a point that has been made because of her personality. She’s always nice to others, so she has wallpaper that reflects that part of her personality as well. She has very pastel-colored furniture, and nothing actually stands out. It’s as basic as things get, like a house in the country. Skye doesn’t seem to want fussy things in her home, and it suits her.

Skye is unique when it comes to wolf Villagers because all the others have the snooty personality. She’s the only normal one. This makes her quite special, at least it did until New Horizons launched. This game added Audie, who has the peppy personality type. The pair keep wolves interesting, and that’s important in a game with so many of them.
