O’Hare is a Rabbit Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He’s had a personality change in the games in the past, and has appeared in quite a few of the releases so far. However, he’s not a firm favorite among fans. This might be due to a few different reasons, but we’ll get to those later in this article. In this Animal Crossing: New Horizons O’Hare Villager Guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about O’Hare as well as some of the things that you probably didn’t know before reading this.
Who is O’Hare?
O’Hare is currently a smug rabbit Villager. However, he’s been a cranky Villager in previous Animal Crossing games. for example, in Animal Forest +, Animal Crossing, and Animal Forest e+ he was cranky. However, in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, he’s now smug. (https://www.greenbot.com/) This may be due to development issues, or his personality being borderline between these anyway. We may never know.
His name is said to be a reference to all hares, but specifically the Irish Hare. This is a specific species of rabbit. It’s also thought that he may be a direct reference to Peppy Hare from the Star Fox series. Finally, his name could also be a reference to the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. This is only relevant because he has a general theme of travel about him.
His Japanese name, Santosu, means Santos in Portuguese, and ties in with his catchphrase “Amigo” and makes it seem like he’s themed around Brazil. This is also linked to his house, which is rather tropical, as you’ll see later in this article.
Birthday
O’Hare’s birthday is one of the most important matters in this Animal Crossing: New Horizons O’Hare Villager Guide. It’s July 24, and on that date he’ll be hanging out in his house. You should head over to visit him on this day, because he’ll be there all day celebrating. If you join him, you’ll be able to play a game with him and everyone who is visiting him. As part of those festivities, you’ll get a cake. This is useful for developing your island later on in your playthrough. The biggest advantage of seeing O’Hare on his birthday however is the fact that you can give him a present. You’ll be able to see the benefits of this as your relationship blossoms. IT’ll make it so much easier to push that relationship level up quickly too.
O’Hare’s Personality
Since O’Hare’s personality has changed in the recent games, we’ll be looking at his cranky personality in this Animal Crossing: New Horizons O’Hare Villager Guide. Smug Villagers are pretty polite, kind, and generally act like a gentleman when you’re around them. They always get on well with others, and that’s particularly true of O’Hare. He’s polite and gets on with everyone. This is because the smug personality type is a mixture of a few other personality types in the game. Other Villagers see this in him and believe that they see a bit of themselves in him as well.
The only disadvantage of O’Hare being a smug Villager is that he’ll want to stroke his ego every now and then. It’s not an attractive quality, but they always do it. This will put a lot of people off of having him around, but it’s worth it for how friendly he is. The only conflict you’ll potentially see with O’Hare are with cranky Villagers. this may be why his personality type was changed, meaning he has at least some Villagers he won’t get on well with.
O’Hare’s Appearance
O’Hare looks exactly like you’d think. He’s a brown rabbit with a tuft of orange hair that makes him stand out a little. He’s more of a chocolate brown, so he’s very tempting to have around at Easter. He wears a boater hat and tropical shirt, making him look like a bit of a dad. Overall, he looks like he’s out to have a pretty good time in the sun, that’ may not always be true though.
O’Hare’s House
O’Hare has a home that looks pretty normal. If you’re after boring brown houses on your island, his is one to pick up. There’s literally nothing special about it. Although the tip of the roof is a white cone, which you. could probably pick out from a line of houses if you were forced to. The interior is a pool party though. The wallpaper and flooring are all water, and there are island carpets down to make it look like you’re swimming. He even has a shark model and some inflatables dotted around as furniture. It certainly isn’t to everyone’s taste, but he seems to enjoy it.
Facts About O’Hare
We’ve got a couple of facts that you might be interested in with O’Hare. First off, he’s the only Villager in all those present in Animal Crossing: New Leaf to have a blue Aloha shirt. Unfortunately, this is no longer an item of clothing in New Horizons, so it’s restricted just to him.
O’Hare is one of only four Villagers with punctuation marks in their names. The others are Wart Jr., T-Bone, and Sue E.. Once again, this is likely because he’s named specifically after an Irish Hare. We’ll never know for certain unless the developers make it obvious to us.
Since O’Hare is an islander, he’s got a fruit that he’s allergic to, and one that is his favorite. His favorite fruit is Oranges, but he’s allergic to Peaches. If you feed him the food he’s allergic to, it decreases the likelihood of him dropping bags of money all over the place. Something that you definitely want to happen.
Finally, O’Hare shares his birthday with Rex. These guys are the only two Villagers in the games to have birthdays on July 24, and that’s pretty cool considering that there are over 400 Villagers at this point. The likelihood of more Villagers sharing birthdays is pretty high, so it’s interesting that so much care and attention has been paid to ensure that there aren’t more duplications.
