Hitman 3 is finally out and players are already filling up the game’s servers will all sorts of crazy contracts. However, there’s one aspect of the game that’s got many players stumped. Some before they can finish the second campaign mission. I’m talking about the Hitman 3 case file. This item is a key part of the Dartmoor campaign mission. Agent 47 must find it and collect it before the mission ends. In this guide, we’ll cover where the case file is, and how you can get it for yourself.

Where is the Hitman 3 Case File?

The case file is hidden right at the top of the manor in Hitman 3’s Dartmoor location. This is Alexa Carlisle’s office. It’s a secret room that you’re not meant to enter unless you’re with Alexa, or are wearing one of a few disguises. As such, it’s hard just to reach this location in the mission.

Over the course of the story missions, you should be able to get the intel required to find out that the case file is in this area of the map. If you don’t though, there’s no need to worry. You can reach the office by climbing up the outside of the manor across the downpipes and ledges. Alternatively, you can access if from the inside if you acquire the lawyer’s disguise.

Within the room itself, the case file is in a safe at the top of the stairs. It’s locked with a code that you’ll need to figure out for yourself. Or, you could read on and find out what the code is without putting any effort it.

What is the Hitman 3 Case File Safe Code?

The code for the safe is 1975. This is a number you can work out by using the key above the safe. Checking for numbers near all of the objects that are represented there.

The clock in the room has a number 1 near it, the telescope has a 9 near it, the fire has a 7 behind it, and the moose has a 5 near it. It’s important to remember that the numbers aren’t exactly obvious, so you probably won’t notice them unless you’re really looking.

Don’t worry about finding each number, that’s not important. You can just walk up to the safe and put the number in. You can do this from the very start of the mission if you want to. There’s no need to wait until you’ve discovered the location naturally.

This might be a good idea if you’re trying to get a fast completion time on the story mission. Overall though, there’s no massive advantage to grabbing the case file before you do anything else. It’s all down to personal preference and what you feel like doing.

That’s everything you need to know about the Hitman 3 case file. It’s not a complicated object to find. It is extremely important though. Hopefully, you never struggle with it again. If you do though, you know where to look for the numbers now. Just don’t get the code wrong or you’ll never figure out what’s happening.
