Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a game full of weapons, tactics, and vehicles for you to use to your advantage.

It drops you into the massive open world of Auroa and leaves you to tackle each mission however you choose. Over time, you’ll develop a sense for which tactics work best against certain enemies, such as the Behemoth.

Knowing which vehicles are best, however, is a standard across the game for everyone. Out guide for the best helicopter in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is as follows.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint best helicopter – Opheis

The Opheis is the best type of helicopter in the game. This is a widely accepted fact in the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint community.

The advantages this helicopter has over most of the other vehicles in the game generally outweigh its shortfalls. It isn’t without its faults though.

While this is the best helicopter in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, it’s hugely unwieldy.

It flies like a tank, and that’s not a good thing. You’ll discover that this helicopter is very hard to steer, making it a premium target for any surface-to-air missiles or other projectiles.

It might fly like a rock in water, but this helicopter really does pack a punch.

The basic model is equipped with a turreted rotary cannon, two rocket pods, and seating for the pilot and a separate gunner.

The rotary cannon alone can rip through soldiers like a hot knife through butter.

It’s almost enough to make you feel bad for them. It will decimate anything you come across, including those heavy enemies that wear 15 suits of armour.

The rockets are the real highlight here. There are some conflicting reports on whether the basic model has tracking missiles or not.

Even without the ability to fire a rocket that will track an enemy down though, these cannons are enough to deal with anything, even a group of Behemoth Drones.

You can fire them almost constantly. Every report from a player who has used this helicopter says it feels like there is no reason time whatsoever.

Opheis Mk.II

The Opheis MK.II is a step up from the best helicopter in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

It’s an armoured version of the base model, making it harder to take down when you’re facing off against a group of serious enemies. The weapon armament has also been tweaked.

Now you have four rockets to fire off, making for even more devastation when you’re blasting them consistently.

The traditional rotary cannon remains in place with the MK.II, which really is perfect. It still melts enemies like they’re chocolate in the sun on a warm day.

Unfortunately, the MK.II still flies like it’s in treacle. I’m afraid all of this power comes at the cost of speed and maneuverability.

With a good team of other players or just your AI teammates, you should be fine. Just be sure to tell them all to shoot the enemies as well, instead of letting you do all of the hard work.

That’s everything there is to know about Opheis, the best helicopter in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Let us know if there’s something we missed about this beast of a chopper in the comments.
